The Awards

The Kelowna Accessibility Leadership Awards celebrate achievements in accessibility, disability inclusion, and barrier-free community development throughout the Central Okanagan.

The awards recognize individuals, businesses, non-profit organizations, public institutions, and community champions who have demonstrated leadership in creating accessible environments, programs, services, employment opportunities, and experiences – in short, those who are making a tangible difference in the lives of people with disabilities through advocacy, innovation, collaboration, and action.

By sharing success stories and recognizing innovative practices, the awards help elevate the importance of accessibility while encouraging others to adopt inclusive approaches in their own work and communities.

The awards reinforce the message that accessibility is not about compliance—it is about creating communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

We continue to work to refine the categories and the process to apply.
