We are a committee of 5, that came together through our work on the City of Kelowna\u2019s Accessibility Advisory Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through annual awards, we recognize individuals and organizations that are removing barriers, promoting inclusion, and creating a more accessible Kelowna for people with disabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our inaugural awards event will be held&nbsp;on&nbsp;<strong>May 27, 2027<\/strong>, in recognition of&nbsp;<strong>National AccessAbility Week<\/strong>, bringing the community together to honour those making a meaningful difference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Together, we&#8217;re building a more accessible and inclusive Kelowna for all.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Kelowna Accessibility Leadership Awards Society (KALAS)\u00a0is a nonprofit organization dedicated to celebrating and advancing accessibility in our community.
